Leading up to the event, Mzila Mthenjane, Exxaro’s Executive Head of Stakeholder Affairs, said: “We are committed to sustainable development for our stakeholders. Kgabi Masia, Managing Director: Minerals, discussed developing Africa’s mining sector, with Roland Tatnall, Managing Director: Energy, presenting on sustainable mining. Elaine Hattingh, Manager: Innovation Planning and Execution, shared insights on open innovation’s role in digital acceleration in mining. Mohloana Magwai, Manager: New Business Development, Minerals, contributed to the subject of challenges and opportunites faced by young people in mining, and Mzimasi Tshikila, Group Manager: Supply Chain Management, covered infrastructure and supply chains in a digital era.
